It would be really useful to have the facility in Plex to move media from one library to another. I spend most of the time accessing Plex remotely as I live in a different country to my setup, so I have to keep making notes on media movements for when I go home. - Not a life changer, but would definitely save a lot of time for Road Warriors like myself!
You need to set remote access to your OS.
Given we have access to delete media from within the UI/app now, why not add the ability to move a title from one library to another? I imagine though the complexity lies in the server having to take a file from one folder (library) & move it to another. Seems trivial to just copy it, verify it in the new folder (library) & then delete the old one once verified.
On top of this though what would be great is the system’s ability to do this on its own (user configurable) wherein a movie was not categorized properly by the maintainer (us) & the metadata that’s returned from online DBs says it should be somewhere else.
i.e. Liar Liar placed into Drama folder (library)
DB says Comedy, move to proper folder per tagging.
