If I add a collection to my home screen on plexamp (after setting up on Plex), and click on view all on the collection, I’m presented with all the albums, but there are no controls to (for example) shuffle all tracks or download etc.
However, if I manually search for the collection, then click through, the options are all available.
Can you add the same controls to the view when clicking through from a collection thats been added to the home screen?

@rhacer FYI … the only workaround I’ve found is to search for the collection, you can then click on the 3 dots in search to play/shuffle or click through to the collection from search, and you’ll get the control panel.
Just a note: You will see an action bar for the collection if you click the “more” (>) button at the right side of the hub’s title.
For this example, I’ve used a smart playlist with various “greatest hits” albums.
The action bar gives me an option to play, shuffle and download that hub – though no option to edit the collection itself.
Edit: I suppose it’s fair to add that while custom hubs are based on collections, they’re not the collection itself.
How do you create a custom hub from a collection and add to your home page?
Many items (e.g. collections) will show the house icon with a plus sign (see 2nd screenshot from above, it’s the 2nd icon from the right on the action menu.
I see. I think these hubs are only local to the device though, although, it’s a good workaround - super useful! It means you can create direct from the collection and don’t have to recreate the entire filter, even I though you have to setup on each of your devices individually, rather than once on the server.
You can use the Publish feature in Plex Web and Plex Desktop to get Home page hubs which are universally usable.

Yep understood. But then you end up with the original issue - when you do that there is no action bar when you click through from the collection on the device.
