[Feature Request] - Archived Programs

Due to capacity constraints (both on my NAS and also on my Plex Server) I have to archive recorded files periodically (I do it manually which is absolutely fine), but the problem is that Plex will record the same episodes again as it has no way of knowing that I have already recorded and archived them. If a show is long running with hundreds of episodes, this is a challenge as the only way to prevent the re-recording is to retain the entire backlog of episodes in the library.

What would be really good is a feature where I can tell it, for example, that I have archived Season 01, 02, 05, & 07 of a particular show, and when matching episodes being aired, it will factor in that it should ignore these seasons, even though they have been moved out of the library. It could be as simple as having an “ignore these seasons” control on the recording control panel.

This would be particularly useful in situations where the same show is running on 2 separate channels, showing different seasons (which is common here in the UK), and I have kept the recording scheduled just to fill the odd gaps in missed recordings from the re-runs.

Another workable solution would be to have a function to specifically list missing episodes of a show which you want it to record - so it does not rely on whether or not the file exists in the library - it just records it if it is listed as an episode which needs to be recorded.
