Feature Request - Attention Span Radio

You’ve got a great little player.
You’ve got crossfading.
You’ve got an audio analysis of where transitions in the music occur.

I would love a radio station that plays just a portion of each song. Long quiet intros could be skipped, songs could start at the ‘good part’, but nothing would play too long that you’d get bored of it. Perhaps a verse and a chorus, or a guitar solo and a reprise, songs could start at the beginning if there are critical guitar riffs in them (Rolling Stones!).

I think all the pieces are there to support this fairly easily.

Would anyone be interested?

I think it is quite a challenge to algorithmically determine the “good part” of a song.
You want an instant “medley mode”.

I for one abhor medleys. For me this is akin to “butchering” music.

They’ve already got an algorithm to be able to visualize the song’s structure in the timeline.

Quite a challenge… maybe someone will take up the challenge. :slight_smile:

Of course you don’t have to use it - when Tubular Bells comes on you have to listen to all of it. :wink:
