In much the same way that Plex allows pre-roll video(s) to be specified, I would love to see a similar feature included for music libraries.
I have dozens of lengthy playlists set up that are very much like their own radio stations. Instead of actually listening to the radio while in the car, I’ll just put one of these on shuffle and let it go.
What I would really love is to truly make them like a radio station where I could have a gag radio drop done by some friends/family, or a vintage Coca-Cola/whatever radio spot play after every 5/10/15/whatever songs.
I’m sure someone is going to say that this is already possible with an ordered playlist, but I don’t want the predictability of an ordered playlist. The “radio station” playlists I have, the minimum length of one if played from start to finish is 22 hours. I want to be able to put one of those playlists on shuffle and either have a user specified number of tracks from a second playlist, a second music library, or a specified folder - whichever would be easiest to code - play after a user specified number of songs from the first playlist, and then revert back to the first playlist.
It would be even more awesome if I could pull from a third and maybe fourth source as well, but totally not necessary.
