[Feature Request] Audio Optimization

I’m sure we all know that some audio tracks on movies, probably due to different encoding, can be very quiet. I understand that changing the volume on the fly means processing on the fly for the stream. So for most plex environments, it’s tricky to fix. However, I do think there should be an option (under the optimized versions), to apply a normalize/compression option. So, if we have a movie with low audio, we could optimize it for a better sound. That can then be streamed with encoding on the fly.

I also think that there should be audio compression on web clients, android, apple clients. Chromecast can’t do that, I know, but that’s where the optimize option would be useful. Or even, have a re-encode on the fly option on the server - but only if the hardware supports it (i.e. at user risk).

i would love an option to purposely transcode & compress the audio stream. I use a chromecast ultra with some huge speakers being powered by a cheap amp and when people are asleep i have to be handy on the volume.
