[Feature Request] Audio through mobile while using Chromecast

Just as the Roku 3 has the ability to stream the audio through the remote to a set of headphones, I was thinking Plex could do something similar.

While casting media to the big screen, have the ability to route the audio to the mobile app and use a set of headphones.

Just in case you want to watch something on the TV but not disturb the rest of the house.

yes this would be good!

For me I encountered this issue yesterday, when i used a chromecast with my projector.

It wanted to use the projectors speakers...yuckk

Oft Requested Feature, generally considered part of this request for "Tandem Playback"

This is definitely something I’m looking for…

Got myself a Roku 3 for this reason but the whole interface is “ugly” - prefer cleaner Plex interface on the Android platform.

It might not be an easy implementation, seeing how the roku system is smart enough to toggle audio output from TV to the remote.

I don’t even mind if audio output streams on both mobile and my android TV box and i manually mute my TV volume but of course it would be perfect if there’s an additional “night mode” while casting from mobile to TV to automatically switch audio output to the mobile device instead of the TV.

Really hoping this feature gets implemented soon.

Really would love this. Would make Plex even greater
