Sometimes two people want to do different things on the same place, if one them is watching a film or an episode, the sound is annoying for the other if trying to read a book or having a conversation.
In my case I do airplay or chrome cast to the tv and in the case described, listening to sound through the headphones of my smartphone, while only the video shows on tv could be great.
So please, consider to build this function: while executing the films on plex, let the user choose if the sound goes through the tv or home cine sound system or if you can listen to it through you smartphone’s headphones.
This is an easy one, come on, vote and make it happen!!
seems like a difficult thing to get right to me, with all that traffic floating about over wifi and such, syncing will probably be out ;(
although, +1 I do want this also.... So I can watch on the big screen at night without the neighbors hearing
This would be nice - In the mean time I can recommend a roku 3 which has a headphone socket in the bluetooth remote - I use this in my bedroom all the time.
I think that it would be hard to "sync" the video and audio in that manner but I agree it would be cool to be able to "Cast" to my chromecast but then listen to the audio via headphones plugged into my android device.
