[Feature Request] Allow us to change the order of trailers in which they will be played before a movie!!
Would you mind to elaborate what you have in mind?
Also… what kind of trailers are you talking about — locally stored trailers of your own media, online trailers, pre-roll videos…?
For example: If I wanted to play Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange (2016) (which is already in my library on Plex) what I would like to do is have a introduction clip (like Dolby Cinema or AMC before the previews/trailers start rolling, and then after the trailers are done, have an IMAX or Dolby Cinema pre-roll right before the actual movies starts. And this will also apply to my other 90 movies in my Plex library.
I would really like it if I could place my pre-roll and trailers in any order I want them.
Here is a order in which I really like:
- Dolby Cinema or IMAX theater introduction.
- Movie trailers (in my custom order).
- IMAX or Dolby cinema pre-roll.
- The actual movie begins playing.
Another thing I also really like doing is showing movie trailers that are NOT in my library and those that are.
Example: Since Doctor Strange came out in November 2016, I will show the upcoming movie trailers that are releasing after Doctor Strange within the year 2016, or towards the beginning of January of 2017. Rogue one a Star Wars Story came out in December 2016, so I would show the trailer for that movie. If you get my point. Lol. I like showing trailers that are being released in theaters in the same year as the movie that I have in my Plex library or in the first couple months of when the movie was released in theaters.
I would really like the custom order of trailers that are for movies not in my library but in the same year as my Plex movies.
And yes, my local stores trailers.
got it… and no, you cannot do that.
you can define a sequence of pre-roll videos or have plex make a random pick of a list of pre-roll videos. This will always play between the set number of trailers and the actual feature film.
