It’s awesome that Dolby Vision works in the Android flavor of Plex, but seeing this support in the native LG app would be much appreciated. I believe the proper thing to do is have separate feature requests per OS platform, so I’m filing this request!

the request has my vote. however, this is a little pointless as long as the TVs do not have a Gigabit LAN port. WLAN is not enough for me personally. The receiver in the TV is too bad.
Yes, 100 mbit lan port is pretty useless. As much as I hate relying on wifi, I’ve been able to get good (enough) performance on it for 4k streaming
I can no longer play my old DV MP4 that played fine on my old C7 but are not recogniced on my new CX.
They are not recogniced from the USB port and when using Plex it transcodes them into plain HDR, no DV logo kicking in, only HDR logo.
Would you mind testing yours to see if they still play as DV and tell us what TV model/firmware you have?

DV on my LG C9 works awesomely
DoVi profile 7 playback was axed in CX. And it’s unlikely to return because it was violation - p7 is for UHD Blu-ray players only.
CX can play profile 5 and 8.
You need an external player for p7 files or convert them to p8 (more info about convertation is here https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=18602&start=3360#p97878)
Well. It seems I was wrong. LG CX is able to play DV p7 mp4 with new 03.21.09 firmware
UPD: Some folks found out X series LG OLEDs don’t utilize FEL in double track mp4.
It plays but without EL and with some picture darkening.

While I agree that all TV manufacturers should be including gigabit ethernet ports, many of us are using USB ethernet adaptors to get around the 100MB/s limit on these tv’s for our high bitrate 4K collections.
