I test Plex on my new LG OLED65C17 but the Plex App dont play Dolby Vision mkv Videos.
Have you tried to play a DV mkv file via USB and the internal player?
As far as I know LG does not support DV mkv, only DV in MP4 container.
I have install Plex on my Shield TV and FireTV too and DV works. Only the LG Plex App dont play. Its not a TV problem. And the LG Plex app is also old. Last Update is over a half year old. On Android i get every week a beta Update, but for the LG there is no update.
The external devices usually support many more formats than the TV’s. Especially DV MKV files are such a thing.
But as already said LG does not support DV in the mkv container to my knowledge. Pull the file on a USB stick / HDD and try the DV MKV file directly through the internal media player of the C1 to watch. If it recognizes DV, LG has changed something and the problem is with Plex. If it does not recognize the file as DV, then the TV does not support DV in a mkv container.
In a USB Drive mkv with dv works. Its a plex problem i think. The last update is very old on the LG App Store.
