I have set a certain library to NOT show up on deck and in recently added. This works fine. However if I enter search text which matches the name of a movie in the hidden library it shows up in the seach result. Is there someway to disable this? I only want to access the library the standard way.
I do not think you can exclude any standard library type from the search function.
I have not tried it because I almost never use search but I think a “Home video” library will not be included in a search.
No Home Video library but the Other Video format does show up on the search results

No, sorry. A home video library will be searched as well.
You can only protect some libraries from prying eyes by working by default in a Plex user account that has no access to these libraries.

Oh well. Since I do not use search it was a guess, just not a particularly good one. Yet another reason not to share.
I have the same problem. I was at work and someone asked if I had seen a movie. I immediate did a search on Plex mobile ( on my phone ) for it and noticed that some NSFW results came up. Luckily I wasn’t showing anyone , but alerted me to the fact that I need to keep some items from appearing in search results.
There should be a checkbox “include in search results” that you can uncheck.
