Plex TV Series Agent uses cast info from TVDB instead of TMDB

Test Case:

  1. Create new “TV Show TEST” Library
    Use local assets - Unchecked
    Prefer local metadata - Unchecked
    Episode ordering - The Movie Database
    Ratings Source - The Movie Database

Scanner - Plex TV Series
Agent - Plex TV Series

  1. Add following TV show and let Plex automatically match it
  • /plex/TV-TEST/Talk (2020) {tmdb-114234}/Season 1/Talk (2020) - S01E01 - Hair transplant, the Forbes list and Bely’s self-esteem.mkv
  1. Open series and check cast
    Actual Result:
    Plex doesn’t show posters and shows old cast info from TVDB (it looked like that almost 2 weeks ago)

  1. Edit “TV Show TEST” Library and change scanner and agent:
    Scanner - Plex Series Scanner
    Agent - The Movie Database

  2. Refresh All Metadata
    Actual Result = Expected Result

  3. Plex suggests user to Update library to new Plex TV Series scanner. Hit upgrade library.
    Make sure “Refresh metadata for this library after upgrading” is checked

  4. Check cast info
    Actual Result = Expected Result
    Plex shows cast info from TMDB

  5. Click on More → Fix Match → Search options → Title - tmdb-1142340 → select Show
    Actual Result: Images disappeared
