I don’t know why but lately using the plex app on either a firestick 4k max or my Nvidia shield there are so many shows that are out of audio sync its terrible annoying. I have tried all the usual sync tricks using built in features on the TV’s, on the devices themselves, changing surround sound modes, pcm etc, while I can sometimes fix it for brief periods of time even during the playback of the same episode it can then go out of sync again.
Why can’t we just get a simply advance/delay slider on these apps during playback that allows us to quickly remedy this issue on the fly.
I really feel like using another app now this is becoming so annoying and I bought a plex lifetime pass.
When playing videos through a mobile device where the audio is connected to an external Bluetooth speaker, there can be a noticeable delay in the audio. A setting to allow adding a delay to the video when connected to Bluetooth could help keep them in sync.
Please, this feature is already in Plex Media Player. Witout it it’s impossible to use most Bluetooth devices with plex ![]()
There needs to be a way to control the audio delay over bluetooth. Some setups can have a second or two of delay. Plex is unwatchable in these scenarios.
I would suggest providing users with a means to save a audio delay setting per bluetooth connection. Perhaps even a little animation or something that helps, similar to the Nvidia Shield audio delay setup.
I have had a couple of movies where the audio and video were not synchronized, there should be the possibility to synchronize as it is currently possible to do with subtitles
Remux with MKVToolNix and add delay into the appropriate tracks.
That’s actually a great tool, and I’ve used it a few times when I get a rare video and the only source I can find is out of sync…
Doesn’t help with the blue tooth delay though. I wonder if it will be built into the New Experience?
I have been using PLEX for years. First tried it out in 2009 and bought PLEX Pass for my server sometime around 2016. The audio sync issue has become intolerable. EMBY is now the way to go. They listened to their users and added a sync option and it works great.
10 years later and still nothing. would greatly appreciate a way to set an audio and subtitle offset in the player
