Been a Plex user for what seems like forever. I love it. I know the team is hard at work on other features, but one request:
- Within AppleTV (or Roku, or mobile, or whatever) to have the same ability on the Desktop Plex App to do a scan of TV or Movie libraries. There are times I know something is in my library and it’s not appearing. I then have to get onto my laptop and kick off a scan. I would like the same desktop ability in my other platforms in which I’m watching my media.
I don’t think it’s much to ask for… I have messed around with the scan intervals and sometimes if a scan starts when I’m watching a 1080P movie or something, the movie hangs which I know is my fault for not having a more powerful machine hosting my server.
However, I just want the same ability with AppleTV/Roku/Mobile to do a full library scan, or a scan of TV or Movie, depending on need. The desktop app does it perfectly.
And I apologize if this was already discussed, and hopefully in the works.
