I thought I’d post an enhancement request that would make plex an even more wonderful environment than it already is.
Just say you have a file which is some.show.s01.e01-e05.mkv (if following plex naming conventions). The current behaviour would be that plex would create 5 episodes with all correct metadata but all pointing to the same file on disk.
New improved behaviour:
Allow for each episode in a single file set allow the definition of a start time for that episode segment within its metadata. Of course this metadata should never be overwritten by any library update process.
What do you guys think?
