Plex has some great filters and sorting features but I would love the ability to not only sort by title but also the year at the same time. Alphabetical sorting would take place first but then if you had movies with sequels then it would sort them by date. Thanks.
Edit the ‘Sort Title’ of those movies.

will cause these movies to appear in the order they were released, when you order your library after ‘Title’.
Otto’s suggestion is really the only way to do this reliably, because sequels aren’t always titled like the original. Consider “A Fistful of Dollars,” “For a Few Dollars More,” and “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.”
Okay, that’s a bad example, since their alphabetical order happens to match their chronological order.
