Hi Chaps, first feature request - be gentle!
Would it be possible to add a further filter to the Optimizer menu for each video library based on codec?
For those of us using automation to populate our libraries ( o:) ) the files that turn up may not be in a format our clients can direct play. If you’re also running a lower power CPU in your server which can’t handle realtime transcoding of a file you end up having to manually go in to the server settings and adding the file to the optimizer queue - then having to wait potentially a few hours before you can watch.
A situation in which this may be useful is as follows…
Say for example you have mostly x264 files which will direct play on your clients, but the odd few VC-1 files which won’t. In that situation I’d like to be able to set an option to go and convert ALL the VC-1 files in a library to a client friendly format, regardless of if they are watched/unwatched and when they were added.
It seems with the current options in that situation you would have to set the entire library to be converted, leaving all the x264 files that would direct play without issue with an unnecessary ‘optimized for x’ file in the same folder eating up disk space.
