I’ve been using Plex to tag my photos using Imagga. Unfortunately, a 1,000 photos per month isn’t really enough. I take about 15 thousand photos per year and have a backlog of about 30 thousand photos.
I’d really love the option to clear that backlog every once in a while (at the current rate, the backlog will only get bigger because more photos are added than Plex allows to be processed).
I get that it’s a paid service from a third party and I (and a lot of others too, possibly?) am willing to pay to have photos processed at a higher rate or on a pay-per-(thousand)-photo basis every once in a while.
Hi, did you have any updates on this? I’ve 100K pictures to tag and It would just take years to complete at this pace. This limitation just renders this functionality pretty much useless for me, and probably many others.
I haven’t got an update from Plex. I have since uploaded my photos to Google (free; but they lower the quality) and Amazon (included in Prime) as well. They have their own photo tagging software and it works pretty well.
The only downside, I think, are privacy concerns. If that’s not something you’re worried about I’d upload them there even if just for their tagging service. A few days after you’ve uploaded your photos they’ll be scanned and you can search them.
I would also be interested in the option to either pay extra for the next Imagga plan, or bring my own API key to process more than 1000 photos per month.
Hi, i just moved my 18k photos from google to my plex server. But i realized that autotagging feature has limit only 1k photos per month, this is seems ridiculous, my autotagging will complete in 18 months. Plex should provide something to add quota for additional autotagging once user reach monthly limit of 1k. Can be paid one, per 10k for example.
