[FEATURE REQUEST] Per server audio/subtitle settings

I have multiple NAS based Plex servers, as do a large number of my friends. Recently I was asked by a family member that streams from one of them to turn on CC/subtitles in English b/c my father is quite hard of hearing. So I went into settings --> Server --> Languages and set Subtitle Mode to Always On. All was good… or so I thought. A couple of days later I went to stream from a different server and found subtitles were turned on.

I come to figure out that changing the setting for a server changes them for all servers on the account.

Please make this a server based setting instead of a universal account based setting. In the mean time, it would be nice to move it out from under the server settings page as those, well most, of them are server based and not universal for the account.

Subtitles can be set for each user, and will follow that user from server to server.
Your father needs to have his own free plex account that you then share your server to his account?

Thank you. I will make that change for him.

I would still like to see this be a per server based setting, even though my personal reason clearly is no longer. I guess there are many different ways this setting could be applied… per collection, per server, per user (which it apparently is,) etc. That flexibility would be nice… Maybe it can be added to a new section of Plex Pass only settings :wink:
