I have several photos that PLEX gets the rotation of the image completely wrong on, I’ve tried setting the appropriate EXIF metadata, but Plex seems to ignore that. So the simplest fix would be to add a per/photo option to specify the correct orientation if the Plex is getting it wrong.
There’s an existing feature suggestion discussing an option to zoom and rotate photos from within Plex. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
Unless I’ve missed some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
Edit: typo
As far as I can see that request has been closed, doiesn’t appear to be any way to vote on it.
No, the thread is open and can be voted for. Where it shows Limit on my screenshot you should see an option to vote (unless you’ve already spent all your votes on other suggestions).
Got it, thanks. This seems quite an old suggestion, and such a basic one, I’m more than a little surprised that it’s not been added, is the photo library feature still actively developed?
Looks like – the release notes of PMS and various apps have several mentions about changes/fixes to Photos in recent weeks and months.
2022 clean-up: duplicate
