Feature Request - Several (user since 2012)

Please stick with the guidelines for the feature suggestion category. Specifically:

1. one suggestion / request per post
2. no duplicate suggestions to avoid distracting votes.

Hence I’ll make this a regular discussion.

As for your specific comments/remarks:

1. Ability for users to report corrupted/missing language/bad videos/tv/music. Flagging it will let the admin know it happened and show up under “reported” with timestamp. I run everything via scripting, i don’t have the time to validate everything.

   • Feature Request: friends to give feedback or report issues of content

2. Ability for users to request content (Music, TV, Movies, Picture Albums). You could even push it further and allows shared users to recommend movies.

   • There’s been a number of discussions – as they tend to go towards file-sharing requests or promotions, those usually end up belly-up

3. Admins have the ability to message users in Plex or give them options (hey, you’re viewing low quality content)

   • Send server messages

4. Playlist sharing/contribution: Shared playlists have a special feature where the shared playlists is approved by suggestions from the shared group. Imagine building this perfect playlist for this party that is coming up.

   • Better Playlists (+Share Playlists)

5. Movie event: Adding video capability where you see the webcam of everyone vertically and the movie is published in the middle. Kids would love this! This would also be great for the fitness world.

6. Media Wall: User who have access can post comment concerning certain media. Just one wall, none of that social media xxx

   • Message Board for users and Movie notes (closed/rejected)
   • Add Chat/Comment to Plex Media Server (with links to existing duplicate requests; closed)
   • [Feature Request] Let users rate episodes/movies and poll ratings for others to see

Personal remark… some of those look interesting at first sight – keep in mind this is a platform to share with your family and close friends. Not a public movie hosting platform for which you’ll need anonymous reporting / feedback / request structures.
