I would like the ability to have a playlist automatically add newly added episodes to a specific playlist if I added the entire show to the playlist. Currently If I only have 1 season of a tv show, and I add it to a playlist, when I add new seasons, or episodes I would then need to add those new seasons to the playlist manually. If the playlists could be set to automatically know when new episodes are added to a show, and that specific show was in that playlist to just add them on.
I remember back before I cut cable the way I would watch tv when just looking to kill some time was to find a channel playing some typical sitcoms, and just let it run. Occasional I would switch to a different sitcom if it played too many in a row. Things like king of queens, Everybody Loves Raymond, my wife and kids. Since I have moved to no cable, I have found great use of Plex by adding those types of shows to a comedy playlist I created, and then I will just shuffle that playlist and let it go on. I need to go back every now and then to update the list with new seasons. I think one of the hardest parts about cutting cable is the lack of channel surfing when you get bored of whats on, and you need to know precisely what you want to watch. With this feature we would be able to utilize the existing playlists, and get that same type of feeling without the playlists going stale after repeating the same episodes every single time.
