Feature Request: Sort movies by IMDB rating.

I would love to be able to sort my movies/TV by IMDB rating. If this is already possible, I would love someone to show me how.

open the ‘Left Action Bar’
click on ‘Rating’
(click on Rating again to reverse the order)

OttoKerner, when I first read your answer, I rolled my eyes, and thought, “Of course that won’t work…I’ve tried it!”

I was wrong. It works brilliantly. Now I can finally quickly review my movie library, and delete movies under a certain rating level.

Except that in the meantime there was a major update to the web app and there is no ‘left action bar’ anymore. :wink:
Those options are now at the top.

Hi, I’ve tried this but still when I sort it first sorts by custom rating which I made within Plex on a few titles and then all are alphabetically.

Please help.

Then you did sort by ‘Rating’ and not by ‘Critic Rating’.

Note that IMDB ratings are broken and have been for a long time. So are RT ratings. The issue is that they come from Plex’ own meta.plex.tv server (not IMDB) which they never ever update.
So, most ratings are either outdated and thereby wildly incorrect, or entirely missing.

Can’t be fixed locally, as it is not a Plex software bug - it is Plex (the company) storing incorrect data.
