[Implemented] Sorting by Audience Rating as well as Critic Rating

Currently it is possible to sort by Critic Rating in a movie library. It would be useful to also be able to sort by Audience Rating if this is present (e.g. if Rotten Tomatoes is used as the ratings source) as audiences will ofter have a different idea of how good a movie is and it would be interesting to compare the two.

Since my request was closed in favor of this 3-year old one with no activity, I’m pasting it’s contents here:

Rotten Tomatoes has 2 scores for every movie, you can see this in the screenshot:

  1. First, the ‘Critic Rating’ AKA ‘Tomatometer’ AKA ‘A red tomato or a green splat of a tomato’ is the average rating of all critics.
  2. Second, the ‘Audience Score’ AKA ’ Audience Rating’ AKA ‘A full tub of popcorn or a spilled tub of popcorn’ is the average ratings of all user reviews.

Plex ONLY lets me SORT by ‘Critic Rating’.

Please allow us to ALSO sort by ‘Audience Score’, as these scores are often different from critics and can be more aligned with the user’s preferences.

(Currently, only sorting by ‘Critic Rating’ works.
Would like to be able to sort on ‘User Rating’, the second score visible underneath every movie)

Agreed. Making ‘Audience Rating’ a sorting option would also be my preference.

Looks like Plex has implemented this as part of the newly released release of Plex Media Server version 1.20.0 (currently only available in the beta channel).

Items with no user rating will be listed at the end of the library when sorted this way (e.g. if a movie only has an IMDB but no rotten tomatoes rating).

Edit:
Closing this request in order to return each user’s votes so you can upvote more suggestions
