[Feature Request] Sort Versions by Quality/File Size

I’m surprised this isn’t already the default, but I’d like Plex to sort my versions by Quality (Resolution or File Size) so that when you click “Play Version” on an item, the highest quality is listed at the top and lowest listed at the bottom (like any other video streaming service that allows you to choose a quality). As it stands now, it seems fairly random how they’re listed. I thought it was based on when the files were added to your library (the 1st file added will be on the top… which would at least give me the ability to make it how I’d like… albeit taking a lot of time), but I’m seeing some inconsistencies with this.

Also, the details that show on the info pages seem to only reflect the “top” file. So when the 720p file is listed as the 1st version, the movie info page lists the movie as having 720p resolution and AAC audio, when in fact I have a 1080p version with DTS-HD audio.

This seems a little amateur IMO and should be fixed. Hoping that others agree.

This might be more of a bug than a feature request. The behavior I’m seeing out of Plex is not like it used to be regarding this issue. For whatever reason, Plex seems to list the details of the lowest quality version of a file I have. So when I have a video with 1080p and 5.1 DTS audio… and a video with 720p and 2.0 AAC audio… it’s always listing the video as being 720p with 2.0 AAC audio which is not accurate as this is just the “backup” file for when the main (high quality) file cannot be played without transcoding.

This never used to be like this. The details for the highest quality file were always used in the past, which is how it should operate. Can someone with Plex please look into this?
