Feature Request - The ability to Add/Remove servers in the web browser that Plex automatically finds

Hello,

 

Something I find really annoying with Plex is when you share a house with others and they also run their own PLEX servers. This means that whenever I open plex in the house, all their servers show up.

 

I understand that in a plex client I can hard force my server - But on the plex server component it seems to always auto add all the servers available on port 32400 in the house which means they show up still and get in the way.

 

This is also really annoying when trying to stream in the car (music) as its a lot of stuffing around finding my own stuff. If you could simply 'remove' the additional servers you don't want in the "http://192.168.1.40:32400/web/index.html#!/dashboard" console for good, that would solve this problem.

 

Otherwise some form of preventing plex clients from searching for every single server would be awesome, perhaps a wizard to only connect to certain servers - It's really annoying having to see so many peoples media in the same house when you specifically don't want to, awesome when you are a n00b and don't want to even try to find anything... :)

Perhaps disable GDM on your server, and then hardcode your clients?

Yeah I did that before this topic, but that's not really the same thing. We should be able to individually select servers not disable the convenience of GDM network wide...

Sorry, but fail to see how that could be done....It's the whole purpose of GDM, or?

2021 clean-up: claiming server / linking a server to your account should limit the access to others and restrict the servers you see to those linked with your account.
