Feature Request - User Saved EQ Settings

I imagine there are many people that listen to plexamp in a variety of scenarios. In my particular case, I have canned headphones when listening in a quiet setting, earbuds when out and about, and in the car when driving, all using the same source device, the iPhone. Unfortunately, the EQ settings for the cans don’t work well with the earbuds and require manual adjustment each time I switch speakers. So I thought I would suggest the ability to save a couple EQ settings to quickly switch between. Maybe even a preference for Plexamp to query the bluetooth settings to determine which device is connected, and change to that saved EQ when starting up.

It’s a long shot but it would make this great app even greater

Thanks for listening.

Coincidently was on my mind this past week. Audiophiles will throw fists in the air at me but I use a third-party app called BOOM on Mac that increases the volume levels of MacOS, however I’ve grown to use the added Equalizer feature to better suit my needs for certain headphone listening environments. It would be awesome to add/delete/rename presets for all sorts of situations. Instead of relying on just the typical Jazz, Acoustic, Party, Rock preset labels, I name my presets based on which ever headphones I use (bluetooth and analog). It would be nice to sync these settings across all PlexAmp installations so no matter what PlexAmp player on whatever platform, my headphone settings sync across all devices and just work.

Back in the day there was a fantastic plug-in for iTunes called Volume Logic. It essentially was a multiband compressor that made everything sound as if was on the same compilation CD. I loved it but development stopped long ago.

This sorta technology would be a great addition to Plexamp, but…

Love this idea!

Agreed.

Please also consider user saved settings for headphones that are plugged in via the headphone jack, as Plexamp won’t be able to differentiate what got plugged in.

Thanks for your consideration.

Yes please!

I’ve been trying some headphones that lack a bit of mids and for the first time I needed the EQ, and now I have been going through the fun task of trying to exactly match my settings on 3 devices.

Having the ability to save and sync EQ settings would be great!

I know EQ isn’t the number one priority in the audiophile world, but it’s useful to correct for deficiencies in headphones.
