I have installed the Plex Server on a windows machine which is in stand by most of the time. I would like the have a wake up function before the recording start has been sheduled and a shutdown option (hybernate/sleep/…) after it. Could you please consider to implement this feature?
I agree with this request, and it’s been mentioned in the request forum before (I’ve added votes too) although it looks like the best options in the meantime are hacky manual steps or leaving the pc on all the time. To that effect in the meantime (not holding my breath this feature will be implemented) I’ve used a raspberry pi for low power, but would love to let my main PC with the power to transcode do the DVR burden. I’m slightly concerned that the multiple threads aren’t getting the views/votes that make them rise to the top, but it really seems like an obvious request (WMC did it).
