Features missing in Roku "New Experience" - how to restore/change?

Server Version#:1.42.2.10156
Player Version#: comparing latest Roku version with latest Android and Web

Plex Pass user here, family of four, three profiles set up (me, wife, kids).

I believe the title is accurate, however it’s possible I simply do not know how to re-enable (or disable in some cases) the features in the “New Experience” that previously existed in the old UI.

Live TV “Favorite” Channels:
We leverage a combination of Plex Channels and OTA channels. We’ve gone through all of the channels and ‘Favorited’ them prior to the “New Experience” roll-out. We more-or-less live on the “Favorites” tab in the “Live TV” section to see all of our favorite channels from both sources (Plex Channels and OTA channels). This works fantastic on Android and the Web UI. This used to work just fine in the Roku app as well. However, seeing both sources of Favorited channels under a single tab/menu no longer works, at all, in the Roku “New Experience”. I cannot find a way to re-enable this. Please advise.

All non-favorite channels appear under the “Favorites” section of Live TV:
Before the “New Experience” roll-out only our Favorited channels would appear in the Favorites tab; which is still how it works under Android and the Web UI. In the new Roku Experience we see all Favorite channels at the top and all non-Favorited channels down below. How can we disable the non-Favorite channels from appearing in the “Favorites” menu?

Hide On-Demand (in my case, for Kid Profiles):
As mentioned above, we leverage “Live TV” for all profiles and the adults also poke around “Movies & Shows”, so both of these are ‘Enabled’ on the server. For the kids profile we’d hide (un-pin) the “Movies & Shows” menu so they didn’t see them/wouldn’t click on them. This worked fine in the old Roku app and the current Android and Web UI apps. However, in the Roku New Experience my children now have the option to click on the “On Demand” section and browse basically anything they want. How can we un-pin/hide the “On Demand” menu?

Shows are showing a ghost episode at the beginning of each season:
My wife noticed this one; there seems to be an extra “episode” at the beginning of each season but it doesn’t actually do anything? This is not visible in the Android or Web UI. How can we disable this?

Cumbersome to see all Libraries in the top Navigation bar:
This is probably more of a formatting issue? I’m only able to see approximately three libraries before the “…” appears at the end. Of which I click on “…” just to see a couple more libraries and more “…”. It’s a bit frustrating if you have many Libraries set up for various content. Perhaps if the Library list dropped down vertically, should it not fit horizontally, would be a valid solution? Or is there any way to change how this displays so I’m not constantly clicking on “…”?

Thanks in advance!

This one I can answer for you. It’s by design: New "episode" at the front called "Show" - Is this intended?

As you can see from that thread - it’s an odd choice since the functionality was already there without needing the card (I just posted more about that just today). It’s weird… and likely not going away for “reasons”. Maybe once it comes to AppleTV and Android it’ll get enough push back. You do get kinda used to it but it’s always jarring to me and others.

This one I can partially answer. This is done at the account level now (in the Online Media Sources section), not the client level like it used to be (which I like because I turn them all off). I’m not sure how this works with managed accounts. It should be in the “restrictions” section but maybe it’s not there yet. Sorry I don’t have any managed accounts to check and the Plex documentation doesn’t mention it. Hopefully someone else can pipe in.

This one is just part of the New Experience but you might solve it by trying the new Plex Preview v9 which has adjusted that navigation menu. In this newer version it allows more than 3 favorites and it’s a little smoother to navigate (in my opinion). Check out this topic: Plex Roku Preview: A Faster, Simpler Navigation Experience

In the Online Media Sources section you can choose ‘Enabled’, ‘Disabled for managed accounts’, or ‘Disabled’.
