Featurettes and Trailers not found

Plex is ignoring my Featurettes and Trailers directories. I have this tree:

Miracle on 34th Street (1947)/
Miracle on 34th Street (1947) {edition-Black and White}.mkv
Miracle on 34th Street (1947) {edition-Colorized}.mkv
Featurettes/
Hollywood Backstory.mkv
Trailers/
Miracle on 34th Street Trailer.mkv

I have local media assets enabled, but only the linked trailers and scenes from TMDB show up in Plex web. What am I doing wrong?

When Linux is involved, my first go-to is file permissions. Make sure the folder and file permissions are the same as for the movie folder/files.

You have to place the editions in separate folders, then place the extras with the desired edition.

From Naming & Organizing Your Movie Files:

Note: If you’re also providing your own local trailers or extras files and you have multiple editions for the movie, you’ll want to use individual folders for each edition and then place the local extras files in whichever edition you choose to be the “main” one. (Or you could also copy the extras and place them alongside each edition.)

Good thought, but the permissions are the same as for all other directories and movies. My workflow is first rip DVDs to mkv on a Win10 box, then WinScp logged in as a wheel group member to the Fedora server 38. The server has Plex in a podman container. I’m not sure I have the permissions optimized for security, but it seems to work just fine on my local network.

This worked, thanks. I put the Trailers and Featurettes directories in the -Black and White edition directory and they show up there.
