File association in Series TV directory

Hi,

I’ve recently download the TV series Hell’s Kitchen (French version with Philip ETCHEBEST)
But Plex make some duplicate files and i cannot dissociate them can you tell me how can i do it ?

Use the series’ ID number in the folder name.

Z:\TV\Cauchemar en cuisine (2011) - {tmdb-69021}\

This syntax is documented here: https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-tv-show-files/

This method will only work if this library is already using the new “Plex TV Shows” metadata agent.
But even if you are still on the old, deprecated agent: adding the (year) to the folder name already helps matching to the correct show.

In some cases you might have to Plex Dance after renaming the folder.

If you want to save yourself a lot of time I would recommend using Download - tinyMediaManager and use:

Episode format:
${showTitle} - S${seasonNr2}E${episodeNr2} - ${title}

Folder format:
${showTitle} (${showYear}) {tvdb-${tvShow.ids.tvdb}}/Season ${seasonNr2}

as the new name format.

Thanks for your rapidity and efficiency.
I renamed all my files with a fake number of Series and episode and that works.

No need for fake numbers.

That is Season 10.
