Files not showing up

I have a problem maybe someone can help me with. I just setting up a new Qnap NAS and have plex server running. I copied via ftp 5 tb of photo’s to the photo’s directory. Looking at file explorer all the files are there but when I enter Plex and hit the manage library button the directory show empty.

Did you create a library section and point it to the folder containing the photos ?

Same is true for TV series

Photos/
