Files: Offset audio not starting in the right place

I believe this is the right place for this question, if not please let me know.

I recently encoded my disc the 2010 restoration of Metropolis (1927) and I have a separate cd of a alternate score by Alloy Orchestra for the film. I ripped the film from my BluRay to .mkv and used MkvToolNix to add the additional audio track to the film. The beginning of the audio on the cd was made to start 90 seconds into the film (after the remaster information when the original title cards began).

When i open this file in VLC, the movie plays as hoped with the additional audio track, but when i play in plex (web or tv client) the audio starts with the movie at 0:00. Is there something i’m missing that i need to do to get this audio to play in time with the film correctly?

One recommendation I saw online was to turn off direct play for the file, that didn’t seem to make a difference either

I was given this information off site, and it appears to be an issue in plex.

i ended up taking the audio, adding 90 seconds of silence and finishing my render.
