I moved my plex to a new Computer and kopied all the metadata from the old computer to the new. the files are stored on an external harddrive.
They are all there, the library is there but many artist show “unavailable”.
If I start a song it plays just fine.
What is wrong?
Inspect the plex media info of those posters which show the trash can.
Look out for the file path information.
Are there one or two file paths listed?
there is only one path - the correct path where the file is on my harddrive.
Then “Scan library files”, followed by “Empty trash”.

any idea whats the problem there? its not a big deal because everything is working fine. just looks ugly 
Try cleaning your bundles in Troubleshooting, that’s solved this issue for me before - only PMS was stating that the file wasn’t available when it was and wouldn’t play. Cleaning bundles removed the “unavailable” tag and allowed the item to play.
