Web Player displays "Unavailable" for some media, but still playable?

Server Version#: 1.21.0.3616
Player Version#: 4.43.4

I recently migrated my server to a new computer from QNAP to Unraid, and followed this guide: https://support.plex.tv/articles/201370363-move-an-install-to-another-system/

For the. most part, it works, but after it scanned my library, some media is showing “Unavailable” but most are ok. The strange part is, for those that are showing as “Unavailable”, it is still playable. Also, when viewing my server from my android app, I don’t see “Unavailable”. So this is only. happening on my web player.

I tried scanning my library, but it finished quickly and didn’t yield any changes.

I tried signing out of my server, and then claiming it back again, but nothing changed.

Does anyone have any idea. why some of my media is showing up as “Unavailable”?

When you say it is showing as “unavailable” do you mean it is showing a trashcan icon? If so simply emptying the trash may resolve the problem. Some media may be detected at a different “location” and that would mean there is one item seen and one item not seen and if the trash has not been emptied then the item that is not found could be producing the trash icon while the one that is can be played.

Yes, there is a red trash can on the item.

I just tried emptying the trash can, but it doesn’t seem to do anything. The icon is still there.

To empty trash you selected the library involved and the three vertical dots on the right and from that manage library and the empty trash, correct?

Also on one of the movies that has a trash icon what do you see if you click on the three dots there and then on get info? At the very top? Do you see more than one path listed?

I didn’t see more than one path listed.

I managed to finally fix it by moving my affected movies to a different directory, deleting the unavailable movies from plex, move it back into my normal movies directory, and make plex scan my disk for changes.

Thanks @Elijah_Baley for taking the time to help me!
