Files with "Sample" in the name are not added to Library

Server Version#: 1.30.0.6486
If a TV episode name has the word SAMPLE in it then Plex does not add it to list of episodes.
eg: “S01E02 Free Sample.mp4” is not added. If I add an S at the end to make it “S01E02 Free Samples.mp4” then it is added as an available episode.

I don’t know if this is where I should be reporting this bug? Maybe this behaviour is intentional?

It may be intentional, if the file size is less than 300MB.

Try including the show name in the file name…

That is the answer - so it is intentional behaviour. Good to know! Thank You! I could not find the article you kindly linked to when searching this issue.

Although the file size is 500 MB and named “ShowName S01E11 The Sample Closet.mp4” I had to rename by adding an S to “The Samples Closet” in order for Plex to see it and add it to the series.
