Film file not seen in Plex Libraries

Server Version#: 4.103.2
Player Version#:
I have just uploaded 3 video mp4 files to my server library location (Trio of Dungeon & Dragons films). I use MetaX to tag the metadata to my Mp4 files. I have refreshed the film library file a couple of times and it is only see 2 of the mp4 files. the Mp4 file that is missing is not corrupted as I can play using anyother video apps. Why wont the Plex Server see the mp4 file?

My guess is that two of them are being combined as a duplicate because of the similar sounding names

If you tell us exactly how each are named, I can tell you how to fix it

Can you post a screenshot of the files? Id like to see the exact file names.

Hi, thanks for coming back to me. I have attached the screenshot. It is the Dungeons & Dragons 12.mp4 file that is not being pickedup/recognised when I do the “Scan Library Files” option.

You have to put the year for each movie in parentheses

Dungeons & Dragons (2000)

Dungeons & Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God (2005)

Dungeons & Dragons: The Book of Vile Darkness (2012)

^^^^^^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^

My canned response is to see https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-tv-show-files/ and:
If you want to save yourself a lot of time I would recommend using Download - tinyMediaManager and use ${title} (${year}) {imdb-${imdb}} as the new name format.

Folder format:
${title} (${year})

(Please note I linked to the v3 which is free to use)

That worked with the date in parentheses. How strange that has never happened for the 800+ films I have copied to MP4 and saved on my media server. The only time I have had an issue was when some sequels link themselves together and you have to separate them. Thanks for the fix.
