The last added movie doesn't show off in my library

Something very weird happened today: I’ve added a movie (MKV) in one of my movies folders and Plex doesn’t see it!
Is it a problem with the name of the file? Nope. I renamed it and nothing happened.
Is it a problem with the folder? Nope, I moved it to another library folder and nothing happened.
Is it a problem with the movie itself? Probably not, because I can watch it on my Mac using IINA or VLC.
Is it a problem with Plex server? Nope. I’ve tried with another movie and Plex does the job…

Did you check for duplicates? Can you post the file name, and a copy of your server logs perhaps we can see what is going on.

Good idea! Unfortunately, I just checked and there’s no duplicate. The name of the movie is ‘‘One Shot’’.

As you suggested, I’ve downloaded the server logs but I don’t know how to share the zip file :confused:

It was indeed a duplicate movie. I replied too fast!

I don’t know why but Plex has decided that One Shot and Jack Reacher are the same movie!

Not a big deal, but naming is the root cause. Ill give you my copy/paste response to naming issues.

If you want to save yourself a lot of time I would recommend using Download - tinyMediaManager and use ${title} (${year}) {imdb-${imdb}} as the new name format.

FYI I peaked at your logs and Yikes you could really improve your naming if you want to avoid future issues.
