It’s a known situation that using the Edition tags will remove that title from discovery services (like if you click on an actor to see other films in your library).
It’s a known issue; there’s a couple posts but they are kinda hard to find via search.

Odd issue where one particular title - so far as I’ve noticed - is not showing up in the “Movies & Shows in Media Libraries” when clicking an actor icon but does show up if I search for the actor. In this case it’s “The Outsiders”.

Downsides of the current implementation - 2022-08-19:
Library gets cluttered with multiple instances of the same movie
the “edition tag” is not displayed in the library, so you cannot distinguish the editions as all instances use the same name and thumbnail (unless you manually change the thumbnail)
