Odd issue where one particular title - so far as I’ve noticed - is not showing up in the “Movies & Shows in Media Libraries” when clicking an actor icon but does show up if I search for the actor. In this case it’s “The Outsiders”.

After clicking on his cast picture from one of those movies:
The same happens for all of the actors in The Outsiders so I assume it’s something with the specific title. I did rescan and refreshed the metadata just in case. I haven’t tried a plex dance yet - trying to avoid it.

Discover won’t show you items that have an Edition tag media that’s available in your library.
I just verified that myself.
Ah… I was wondering about that but hadn’t tried anything with it until just now and started to see that happening … and that’s very disappointing.
I just did that with Abyss Special Edition too and got the same results (it was my first edition tagged movie in my library alphabetically).
Not what I was expecting - the “bug” being an expected function - but I appreciate the quick responses and at least the mystery is solved.
I guess I’ll reverse all the editions tagging I did and go back to putting “Director’s Cut” or “Special Edition” in the title manually; and splitting\unmatching them when I have multiple editions… guess I’ll have to think about it a bit. I don’t want movies to not show up when expected - we use that cast function to find other movies with same actor a lot.
It might be helpful to add this caveat about using the Editions feature to the Editions article .
