Hello!
After adding 5 new movies to my film library 8 previous movies became no longer visible on my TV and other platforms.
Before adding those 5 new movies the 8 previous ones worked fine without any issue. When i check the folder that hosts film library i can still see those 8 movies together with the 5 new ones.
Restarting my NAS where the films and server are hosted didn’t help. Disk space is filled to about 60%. I have 214 films in total, including those 8 that are no longer visible, but the rest of the films are still there and can be played normally.
What could be causing this kind of issue? No other action aside from adding 5 new films was taken from my side.
Server Version#: 1.42.2.10156
Player Version#: Same issue on all platforms
Enable the “Duplicates” filter.
Are the missing movies within the duplicates found? (Inspect the Plex media info of the duplicates)
If they are among the duplicates, this is a classic file naming issue.

Thank you for your response.
I’ve checked the duplicates by filtering them and there are no missing movies among them.
I’ve also tried to remove some films and re-add them to the library. This resulted in 4 more films disappearing afre running a library scan.
Now I have 194 films visible on the TV/desktop players when there should be 214 according the folder contents on my NAS.
Using Plex Web, sort the library by something besides Title (date added, year, etc.).
How many movies are visible?
If the correct number, then movies may be combined into collections (since you ruled out duplicates).
If still the incorrect number, please provide a set of server log files. They will show if there is any database corruption.
