Finding files on network drive

I am trying to have Linux Mint find my video files on a network drive to add to a library. Linux names it as HD-PCFU3. I have tried to use that as the place for my video files but it doesn’t seem to work. Is there another name I should give it?

Did you mount the network drive on Linux?

Yes I have and it shows on my desktop. I am able to access the files without problem.

So you modified your /etc/fstab file?

To hopefully save some back & forth time?

I don’t believe so. If I right click on the icon for the network drive, the option is to unmount so U assume that it is mounted.

If it matters, I am using a dual boot system.

Dual boot doesn’t matter. The active OS PMS is running on is what matters first (presuming Linux).

Thank you. I tried the instructions but I am new to Linux and got lost. I got as far as creating locations but that is where I got lost.

It was my hope to provide the how-to by using an example.
From that, if you followed my command sequence, substituting in the names for your drives / mount points, you will achieve the same results.

The mkdir command is the same where only the target directory (mount point) changes to be what you want it to be.
