Im using the latest Plex with Synology NAS DS918+.
I have tried using several different Fire TV devices and none of them work anymore! It just can’t play anymore.
I did the following and it still doesn’t work:
I reinstalled the app
Tried local streaming and remote streaming
Tried direct streaming and transcoding streaming
Tried several different videos, that worked previously
Tried restarting the NAS
Anything else I can do?
Plex works on my iPad and iPhone flawlessly.
It also works on my NVidia shield TV Pro
so, there is nothing we can do? just wait until plex releases an update? this really sucks. Why do they always add ■■■■■■ features no one wants and then BREAK the most ESSENTIAL feature?

I am annoyed and am bringing this up with management today in staff meeting.
@ChuckPa this issue is a bit unrelated but is still present over six months after the team was made aware. Any chance you can look it over and provide an update? To me it seems to be a pretty big issue that Plex Media Server can no longer detect the audio bitrate when using modern versions of MKVToolNix. It’s still causing issues for almost all my Fire TV devices
