Is there a reason why the last version of Plex player on the Amazon Firestick is stuck at 8.31.2. it says last updated 30th March.
9.1.0 is the latest version and none of the previous versions have been released on the app store it seems.
Do the Devs need to push the updates for the amazon app store as it’s maybe broken?

Amazon’s approval process takes longer than Google’s. This results in the Amazon store version lagging the Google store version by several releases. Plex can prod Amazon, but ultimately it is up to Amazon to approve the app and make it available in their app store.

Side load the app. You’ll have to uninstall the Amazon store version first otherwise it won’t let you update. Once you do this then install via side load and then from there on out you’ll be able to update via side load without uninstaling.

Saw this issue before on Google play and Plex fixed it their side in the end.
I suspect Plex need to do something…
I have another thread open for the same thing on my firestick 4k. Two weeks and still nothing. Its ridiculous
FYI, Amazon app store updated to version 9.2.0.32520.
