Check the version in the Amazon app store (link). Mine shows 8.31.2.31546 (I’m in the US). Amazon takes longer than Google to approve new app versions. As a result, the version in the Amazon store generally lags the version in the Google store, sometimes by two to three weeks. You also might want to grab the Fire TV remote app from Amazon. Why? Because then you can open the Plex Android Release Announcement thread on your phone’s browser and copy the link to the app, and use the keyboard feature on the Fire TV app to easily paste the URL into the address bar on the Downloader app.
