So, I just recently ripped my entire cd library onto my pc to build a good sized flac library, especially as we no longer any devices able to play discs, it was a good way to save all this music. Anyhow, while testing it out with my home theater setup in my great room, I found the Plex app for Firestick would eventually stop playing audio. If I press up on the remote, I can see the status bar moving as if it were playing, but there is no sound. If I leave that track and try another, sometimes it may play, sometimes not. After multiple attempts at playing a few tracks, the app will boot me back to Amazon home screen. This “no audio” bug seems to only happen after switching tracks multiple times, ie; backing out of one song/artist, then starting another, repeatedly.
The pc my server is located on has plenty of power behind it… i7-9700k, 32gb of ram… so even if I were doing something on the pc at the same time, it should have no issues handling the workload. The Firestick is Amazon’s latest version, only being 2 months old at most.
It really feels like an odd bug and I really am unsure what could be done to solve it.
