Firestick app Preview for local channels gone in latest update

One of my favorite features was how when I’d back out of my channel to look at the guide, I’d get a little mini player that’d continue to show the show and audio. This has been unceremoniously removed in the latest update, even though there is space for it and it even happens with plex’s free channels. I really want to see this returned.

Thanks for reporting. The inline player has been temporarily blocked on Fire TV due to performance issues. Once those performance issues are addressed the inline player will return. Sorry for the frustration this has caused.

It’s nice to at least know these issues are being considered.
Due to past actions, I was afraid that LiveTV was being pushed out and this was another step towards removing self hosted tv
