As above i’ve got my plex server all set up and I want to play the films on my Firestick however everytime I play a film it crashes the firestick which then restarts. Please help.
Updated Fire Stick about an hour ago and now having the same problem. So far, it seems to be limited to 1080p media. Same client, but I’m using Server 1.18.0.1913
I have the same problem. Firestick crashes and restarts when I try to play a movie.
This started happening about a week ago.
Same problem here, no matter what I try to play: crash & reboot.
This happens only with the new player though, if I select the ‘old’ player everything works fine.
How do you select the old player? Thanks in advance

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread. Updated my FireStick earlier, took an age and now if I try to play a movie in Plex it crashes and restarts. I tried turning the new player off but then I just get the message ‘cannot play media’. Tried it with a movie I watched just last night with no problems, same thing.
Any ideas?
What was the fix for this?
