Firestick will only let me log in via Amazon or code

I was having problems with Plex and created an additional account to solve it but never used it and ended up with original account which works fine.
I logged out of my usual account on Amazon Firestick TV 4k and when I try to log back in I do not have option of using an email and passwork but only “via Amazon” or through a pin code. Amazon log in doesn’t work and pin code only and repeatedly logs into new account which has no content and I have never used. It gets worse because I can’t log into the new Plex account from my desktop to add data. I have tried deleting the new account bit can’t remember the password and it is not being sent to the new email I created just for this account.
I can’t seem to solve it and am thinking of even jumping to Roku Ultra but I’m not sure it’s a good as Firestick.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

When you go to plex.tv/link, make sure you are signed in with the desired account.

Very interesting. Thanks so much for your reply. I do not get that option of “you’re signed in as” That’s the first time I’ve ever seen it. That probably would solve my problems. I’ll try again.

Try using a private / incognito browser window.

or

Go to https://app.plex.tv/desktop/, click on your user icon in the upper right corner, and Sign Out.

Then close all browser windows, relaunch and go back to plex.tv/link. You should be prompted to sign in.

I tried again and noticed that message was on my phone tv link, not the TV duh. I clicked on “sign in as different user” on phone , used different email and succeeded. Wow. I can’t describe how thrilled I am that it’s solved. Thanks so much for your help…it was perfect and did the trick. Made my day.
